    My Dinker Proved!

I acquired this from a buddy who wanted to focus his efforts on carpets and a few other species. He told me she was a wild caught imported back in 05 but no one ever bred her. I've seen a lot of similar ones from Togo and was told they never prove to be genetic so I put my banana male with her a few times and was the second to lay for me. I didn't have high hopes about the season, I had to move everyone twice between March and April, they didn't have heat for a couple nights and my first girl to lay, the only one I observed an ovulation from, gave me 8 slugs, an arroyo firefly x arroyo. A few weeks later I saw that coil and knew she was on a like if eggs and as I began to investigate I saw 3 slugs and fortunately 4 good eggs!

I was hoping for some bananas with her pattern and when I cut the first egg I saw something very promising! I cut the rest and found 3 bananas and one normal type after a couple days I was surprised to find I had 2 bananas that appeared to carry her gene, a regular banana and a normal. I was excited to see these bananas with a different, red stripe type pattern but as time passes, the affect she has had in their color is also pretty dramatic compared to the regular nana sibling. Check them out, lemme know what you think 😋
