This is fairly common from my knowledge, however I am unsure how to proceed. I noticed two heads in the same egg after I had cut the egg, and the snakes are now nearing the final stages (they have absorbed the remaining vascularity from the shell and are close to absorbing their yolk) which has left me a bit worried.
I can tell that one of the snakes is entirely separate from the other (they aren't a two-headed snake) as I can identify where its body is entirely, however the snake I can identify is fairly large in the stomach (it could just be because it's on top, not sure yet). But now I'm worried that the two may be sharing the same yolk. If that is the case, how should I proceed if it does come to that? Should I remove the snakes from the egg and check (reluctant to do so, as I know that can lead to issues and I can see the one snake is close to absorbing the yolk, but not enough so that I would feel comfortable doing that)? If it does come to them sharing the yolk, will they separate on their own, or will I need to worry about separating them?
