Hello all, after having my ball python for several months im finally able to start gathering supplies to build a nice little vivarium. Im just piecing together supplies right now, one thing im having trouble finding is a good thermostat controller.
First a lil about the build, the enclosure will be a 5ft by 2ft vivarium with 3 hides and a small stream created within. Led lights will provide a small array of different viewing colors as well as provide for the plant life. Another bonus to this build will be a misting system.
Basically i have 3 zones i want to control. 2 are heat sources and the third a humidity source.
For the two heat sources ill have a RHP over the hot hide to control the hot hide temp and a ceramic heat source over the cool side to control ambient temp.
The third i want to control is humidity, i want a controller to turn a misting system on to maintain humidity.
So the controller im looking for will have these options
Zone 1 temp sensor controls zone 1 heat source
Zone 2 temp sensor controls zone 2 heat source
Zone 3 humidity sensor controls misting system
As well as having digital readouts for zone 1 and 2 temps and the relative humidity
The tricky part is i want a single controller that can monitor these things and activate/deactivate all 3 seperatly. Im having a very hard time finding something to do it, can anyone else give me some insight? I am also a good diy'er so if my only option is to build one, that can be arranged.
I can also control all this with an apex, which is a popular controller that is used on reeftanks (my other hobby) to control just about anything you can imagine, the only problem is i dont have one yet because it costs just around 1000$
Thanks!
