Number one rule of internet foruming: Take what you need and leave the rest. No reason to get all booty hurt over a perceived insult on the interwebs.
I am a newbie to this forum, however from reading achieved posts it is pretty obvious that there are a plethora of personalities here. Some of the personalities are blunt or direct. Doesn't mean they are any less experienced when it comes to BP husbandry. I might not like their delivery but if some of the guys/gals who responded to your thread were questioning my husbandry, well I would be paying attention. I wouldn't care how insulted I felt.
As for this not being "real life"... personally I appreciate that this is a well moderated forum free from cursing and shenanigans.
