I don't know if this has ever been touched on, but I've been looking.
I see a lot of places (on here or other web-sites) that taping off the top of the screened lid (except for a hole for the lamp) is a helpful method of keeping moisture in.
I've also read that snakes are very susceptible to illnesses from humans and especially poisoning from chemicals that come from human things.
So here's my question. . . . Are there chemicals in certain tapes that are bad for snakes? More to the point, is there a preffered type of tape to use?
I don't know anything about tape, or what's in adhesives. So I don't want to use duct tape (for instance) and end up heating a chemical in the sticky part and in effect poisoning my snake. Maybe I'm paranoid, or over protective, but I don't want any more problems with snakes. . . . I just want to be sure before I do it.
