Hi from South Georgia

So I'll apologize in advance. I do not have any pictures to show of a New pet or anything of the sorts. Rather, I'm in the researching and learning stage of my first snake ownership. I've always been the type of person that researches, reads, and studies things long before I do them. Especially anything involving a live animal or something I may not be absolutely certain about.

As of about 3 weeks ago the wife and I decided to look into getting a BP and my mind has been going ever since. I realize I have little to nothing to offer the forum, yet, but I wanted to introduce myself since it looks like I'll be spending a good bit of time here prior to my first ownership.

I'm 30 years old and am just shy of 10 years into my Law Enforcement Career as a Deputy Sheriff. I've got a great passion for animals and automobiles. However, I've never really been the clique type. I have always viewed anyone else with a passion customizing cars and trucks as a friend of mine regardless of whether they drive/own a 4x4 truck or an imported honda civic hatchback... I've always appreciated other people's views and respected the efforts of those who commit themselves to their hobbies. That being said it is nice to browse around this forum and get ideas and see the awesome amount of work many of you have indulged into your hobby! Hopefully I will be able to grace you all with yet another beautiful BP...

Something I have run into in the past is questions about my screen-name... My name is Jake and being in law enforcement the "blazn" has nothing to do with any form of smoking, be it marijuana, cigarettes or anything of the sorts. Not that I have any ill views of those who do. The "blazn" portion came from a previous forum that I used to frequent and the screen name just stuck with me. Like I said I am largely into vehicles and customizations, I rebuilt a 98 Chevrolet Blazer with air ride suspension, paint, wheels, audio, etc etc.

I've learned very little about the different morphs and there are many very nice looking morphs out there. So far one that I believe I'm going to be looking for is a Banana of some type or an albino.

I'm looking forward to making many new friends in a hobby I'm rather new to!
