It's taken me forever to get around to it, but I thought I'd share a few (ok more than a few) pictures from 2015. It was a fun and productive year!
1st find of the year, overly photogenic snapping turtle
Cottonmouth, same day
same day as well. Not a reptile but we also found several of the on the roads. Beached due to flooding
Rough earth snake. This one was pretty exciting because they aren't commonly in my area.
1st gator of the year. I observed mating behavior for the first time this day
Copperhead - only one of the year
Diamond backed watersnake
Herpers heaven
1st boxie
Box turtles were numerous this year
Mushroom!
Cottonmouth #2
Velociraptor! Wait...
Timber rattler shed (was not actually found in the tree)
Another box turtle
Favorite hike
Cottonmouth, this guy was actually found Nov 22. I was pretty surprised he was still out.
We found a lot more than I have pictures of, but these were some of the favorites. Hope you all enjoyed.
