Last week I came to you guys about a black pewter I had that was becoming extremely aggressive. Some of you suggested that he was being under fed. The suggestion was to feed him a larger item so I did. I gave him a 61g ASF. I decided to feed him again on Monday. I usually feed all my snakes under 500g every 5 days. So it was feeding day for my smaller guys as well so I decided to feed him again. I gave him a 57g ASF and he ate well, of course after he attempt to tag me first... he missed. From that point my husband and I decided that we would continue to feed him every 5 days, just to see if it would make any difference. Today, as I fed all my other snakes, I went to go open his cage to check on him and he was on his back. There was no blood, he looked as healthy as ever. His eyes were blue, not clouded as if he was starting to shed, but more like a sapphire blue. He looked like one of those fake rubber snakes. It really sucks.
I have a feeling his aggression may have something to do with whatever illness he had. One of the vet clinics here cremate and disposes of dead bodies so he is in the freezer right now waiting for me to bring him down there later this afternoon.
