Ever since it's gotten cold, Moses hasn't been eating or wanting to be held/explore his enclosure (he's just been hiding). This has only been going on for 2 weeks, but I'm still concerned. The first time I tried to feed him, he struck at the rat, missed, and then acted all terrified and hid again. Next week when I tried to feed him, he completely ignored it. He seemed more interested in me than anything else. I removed his hide so he could... see the rat better. Then he just started to explore his cage and climb on everything. When I put his hide back, he immediately went in there to hide again. Any idea what could be going on?
Additional info:
-He's very picky, and will only eat African Soft Fur rats.
-The 2nd time I fed him I had to offer a normal rat, because the reptile store was closed. That may have been why he was uninterested in it.
-He does eat frozen/thawed.
-He's only been hiding in his cold hide.
-Hot side/basking is 90-93 F.
-He's not due for a shed; his last one was a month ago and he usually sheds every... 3 months I'd say?
-His setup, temps, etc. haven't changed at all.
