My very first BP... first snake

Well, when I was a kid, I was always afraid of snakes... Then I got to where that if I knew they were there, I wasn't so much afraid, but more inquisitive about them. Seeing one by surprise still makes me jump a little... but the more I read about them, and saw them, especially in the past couple of months, I've wanted one more and more. If You've seem my few other posts, I had plans to order a nice decked out T8 enclosure with all the fixin's and take my time getting into the snakes. Well, I went to my first reptile expo this past Saturday, then to another one a little further away on Sunday. Someone was selling a plastic enclosure, and all the other stuff was available there... so... it's like I had to do it. lol. Please tell me I'm not the only one that has done this... lol.

Well, long story short, I came home with a female Mojave. For some reason, I really wanted a female. Maybe because all of my other pets that have been females I've had a better bond with, I don't know... I ALMOST got a pastel Mojave, but this one was half the cost (and that was easier to justify to my wife )

Here she is... my 7 year old decided her name should be Lexi.
