Just came home to see a juvenile turkey vulture sitting on my roof. We don't see them around here very often and was wondering why it would be sitting there on the roof of my garage. When I got out of the car I was suddenly reminded of the bag of rats I had tossed in the garbage yesterday. I had set out a bag of frozen rats to thaw a few days ago and had forgotten about them until they were a little ripe and then tossed them in the trash outside, it must be a pretty powerful attractant, garbage pickup day can't get here soon enough.
