Just wanted to say hello here from hot Alabama. I finally got my own pet ball. She is a baby BEL, about 250g and fits in the palm of my hand. Her name is Celestine after the crystal.
Little bit about me.
I am originally South Afrikan but moved to the states at a young age and have lived in Alabama my whole life. I am in collage now doing a Pre-Vet course with the hope to specialize in exotic medicine and try to be a zoo vet. I have done a lot of herping, even from a young age so my passion started young and stayed strong. My mother had a huge influence in that and she actually helped revolutionized wound treatment for snakes and many other discoverys and research projects for herp and their health. I also grew up knowing Dr. Bob Mount and Dr. Craig Guyer, renounced Herpotologist, so they also played a role in my passion with herps.
Pet wise I have pancake tortoises, a box turtle who hates the world, some really old leopard geckos(my female is 28 and acts like she is 3), two tarantulas(B. smithi and P. metallica), many fish, and the normal fat dog and cat.
Snake wise I have owned snakes beforehand (corn snakes, king snakes, a ornary python), but never a ball python. So I am looking forward to this journey with her. I got her today so the only picture I have of her right now is the one the breeder sent me, I'll try for more after she has settled down and eaten constantly.
