Tampa, FL BP to Good Home

    Hello all-

If this post is not allowed, please take it down admin. I am not here to cause any trouble, nor do I want to break any laws or disrespect this community.

We inherited a ball python, appx 4 yr old female from a friend who's mom was very ill. Our friend said she would take the snake back under any circumstances, but that is no longer the case. We have been doing a lot of traveling, and it is hard to find anyone who will pet sit a snake (fear, grossed out, idk) but because of this her socialization has gone down to about 10%. Likewise, we can't find anyone to feed her when we are traveling, so her eating schedule gets out of whack, and she LOVES to eat. We feel awful, because she is a very social, curious, and sweet snake. She has never struck at us. Because we will be traveling quite a bit in the next few years (work and pleasure) we have begrudgingly decided to rehome her to someone who has the time to socialize her the way she craves. This is a really hard decision, but we can't be selfish and keep her locked up. Hence my post here.

If anyone is interested in adopting her, here is some info about her:
-We call her Audrey 2, aka Tooey. Her former name was Nagini
-I am not sure what pattern she is. I am not very versed in the variations.
-She is 4 yrs old appx. She is appx 3 ft long and 10 inches in circumference at her widest.
-She is a frozen feeder. We feed her ween rats, and just went up to medium weens. It takes appx 30 mins to thaw the weens in a bowl of hot water. Dry them off and feed her with tongs.
    - She has a separate feeding tank so she knows the difference between social touch time and feeding time. We feed her every 2 weeks, and leave her in the feeding tank for 24 hours after she has eaten.
-She sheds every 3 months pretty regularly. The dryer she is, the longer it takes her to shed
-She lives in a 55 gallon aquarium. Her former owner used tap water to spray her down, so there are water stains that we cannot get off. We use distilled water to wet her down, so the stains won't accumulate more. She has a water bowl, twigs, buddha hideaway, red heating lamp, uv light, timer for the light, and heating pad.
-We will include all of her items, including the table her tank sits on. We will also give you the weens we have purchased frozen. We buy from Pinellas Reptiles, so they're are excellent quality.
-She is a very social girl. She loves to explore, is very active at night, and gets along well with our cat.

If you have any interest in meeting her, we live in the Lowry Park Zoo area of Tampa, FL. If this kind of post is not allowed here, again, please take it down. If anyone has any advice on other avenues to take to get her adopted, we appreciate the help. I can send pictures of her, as well.

Thanks for your help and kindness,

    Brittany
