anyone here from michigan (or anywhere)go fishing? any good fishing stories? better question, where are they?! i haven't been having much luck this year. i know of a few inland lakes where there are quite a few small pike(and small bass catfish and panfish), but nothing past the 2 foot keeping size here for pike, or they're in places that I really wouldn't want to eat from... from what I've heard, there's not really any salmon to speak of (but they're usually later in the year anyway.) catch and release is fun, but i want to catch my own dinner sometime.

some places I've been going to, mostly camping, but fishing too would be near jackson (south of lansing), rogers city (east of the macinac bridge), seney (in the up), and manistee on lake michigan.
