Question Java Moss or Riccia for humidity?

For those of you who do freshwater planted aquariums, I have a ton of java moss and riccia. I'm wondering if it's alright to use that in a BP's tub to help with humidity/shedding?

Riccia will dry up and turn brown when emersed, but I figure it would still help with humidity, if it's safe? Java Moss stays green when dried up, not sure if that matters at all.

Both plants are safe with fish (obviously), but not sure if there might be any risks emersed with a snake? Just to be safe..
