    New Babies - Axanthic Zebra-bee

Greetings, new babies from a clutch this week, a 5-yr project chasing an Axanthic Killer/Zebrabee. Project was breeding Killerbee P/H Axanthic (f) to an Axanthic Pastel male. (SK) Year one she did not go ... year two all slugs ... and last year, she proved out Axanthic with one surviving egg, producing an Axanthic Super Pastel. So you can understand my trepidation this year when she dropped five days early, albeit an ugly and small clutch of eggs. Six initially candled but only three survived. Thankfully I got lucky and hatched a 0.1 Zebra-bee and 1.1 Pastel Hets. Pics below, enjoy!

    three survived

    finally!
