Hello. I am new to these forums, though I have kept several snakes throughout the years. I currently have a BP that I have owned for about a month. I had him in to the vet a few days ago, where I found out that he is perfectly healthy, and also that he is indeed a male.

A few days ago, I decided to increase his feeder size from a large mouse to a full-grown gerbil. Everything went perfectly, but now when I look at him, I can see a tiny bit of skin between the scales where the lump in him is. I know that this is probably just in my imagination, and it is probably just that particular part of him stretching to accommodate the meal, but I have also heard that this sort of phenomenon can be the result of overfeeding. I only feed him once every seven days, and he is still quite young, probably 1 1/2 to 2 years old. I apologize, but I am unable to provide any pictures at this time.

Any advice would be appreciated, and thank you for your time.
