Re: Greatest freak out from our hobby you have seen

years ago, i found a young garter snake, which was injured by a lawn mower. I worked for a vet at the time and he was treated and i took him home to recuperate. after his clean bill of health was given i decided to release him. To keep him away from mowers i took him with me to a girl scout camp out and was going to leave him by the lake. The only people who knew i had him was my sister, and her scout patrol, well we went to sleep that night and the little guy got out of his sock, that i had looslly tied. He managed to slip into a pillow case of one of the other adult women, and the next thing i heard was the loudest , most blood curdleing scream you ever heard. She screamed rattle snake and every one in the room screamed and ran outside. i searched her pillow and found the baby garter, and walked outside to show her it was harmless. There are no venemous snakes on long island, unless someone dumps it here. Well everything calmed down and the little guy was safely released by the lake on our morning hike.
