    I hope you don't leave them alone. They don't need the water that deep. Having it so deep they are required to swim to keep their head above water can exhaust them and they can drown.

    They are not water snakes and I personally never place my snakes in water deep enough to swim in. I only have it deep enough to reach 1/2 to 3/4 up their side.
