    First ball - lesser!

I just got my first ball python from a Reptiday event, he's gorgeous and only balled little at first but then was pretty curious when I took him out of the bag before putting him in his new home to chill for a week. I go to school in another state so I won't get to see him for a bit, but my sister and her bf (who has had snakes before) are watching him for me, and this way I can have a true quarantine (I have a corn and geckos at school) and I graduate in six months and am moving down so now stressful moving situations for him!

Anyway, he's a lesser and I'm already in love with him! I've named him Simon (although those alien head patterns are really tempting me to go for Mulder - alas I'm saving Mulder for a Mulder + Scully cat duo when I'm finally on my own). He's all tucked up in his bin and explored for a bit before going to his hide. They were feeding him live hoppers at the breeders but I picked up some frozen, so we'll see if he'll switch to that. If not, my sister's bf has no qualms about feeding live for a bit until we can get him on frozen (or on live if he's a super picky eater).
