Just recently got s new Bp, looks healthy , no RI and behaviour so far is good, except for one thing , The guy just wants to stay on the cool side the entire time . At first I though it was just her getting used to the new environment because she did alternate back and forth the first weeks during nighttime periods, now she just stays on cool side everytime even after feeding ( which is odd because I thought she would want belly warmth for digestion) . My temperatures are good I believe , I control the warm side temps with a uth that's connected to a herpstat set to 90 for surface temp , temps measured via heat gun ( got it from work for 30 bucks , pretty accurate ) . The cool side ambient is 80-83f daytime , but since it's winter here and freaking -30c temps it's been hard to stabilize cold side temps at night and I'd drops to 75-78f , I keep a red night bulb on to keep heat up but I'm in a basement suite and the cold just gets in ontop of that it creates another issue of killing humidity (ahh!) . Humidity on both hides are the same thanks to sphagnum moss ( try my best toes so it steady 60) and both hides are identical so there's no favouritism. Both sides of the tank are covered and both hides covered with fake plants to help feel secure in both of them .

So yeah , could there be anything wrong with my Bp that she does this ? Or Am I just being over worried . I do know that if she is cold she can just go to her warm side but my worry is what if she is in fact cold but refuses to go to the warm side for whatever reason , something she doesn't like? What could it be ?

Aside from that she is great , no behavioural issues , she's never tried to strike me , her feeding is also perfect , she's very enthusiastic in that , never had a failed feeding . She's a small girl , currently 175g and on frozen Rat pups .
