    Lightbulb Terrarium background

I just purchased my first ball python a few days ago. I have read various forums and caresheets on their enclosures and how to set it up.

I have read that an open glass tank can make them nervous and feel a little unsafe so I wanted to paint the back and sides with black glass paint but I am not sure if this is safe (even if the paint is on the outside).

    Any suggestions? Thanks!
