So, the strangest thing has been happening recently. About 2 days ago, little Vinny my ball python made the loudest possible noise i think a snake could make; like a rabid dog violently evacuating from both ends. It woke me up, and when I went to look at what in the holy-hell he was doing, he stopped, looked up at me at about a 30-40degree angle with his mouth open, and carried on like nothing happened. I got kinda worried, so I started watching him more closely. I keep his humidity at about 60%, keep moist paper towels over the top of the mesh gate thing at the top of the tank, cool side is 78degrees and warm side i kinda fluctuate between 80-90. i also noticed he made a traditional poo-glob on the side of the tank, but didn't think anything of it. BUT JUST 5 MINUTES AGO, I watched the entire process...and let me tell you, i didn't know whether to laugh or be worried, but i'm pretty sure i died laughing. He had his lower portion in his water dish, and his other half hanging out. He made that horrendous sound again and snake-feces torpedoed out of his little ass it made water splash. Should i be worried? I do feel bad about laughing. I read other people's instances of this happening, but they say it isn't really anything life-threatening (some people have had snakes that are loud enough to be heard through their store/house). He doesn't make any gurgling sounds, no mucus, no air bubbles/snot bubbles from the nose. i feed him regularly, used to be two small fuzzies but now I just give him 1 small baby mouse. He normally stays inside of his hides unless I take him out to feed or clean his tank. Comments?
