Hello, some of you have probably seen me bopping around this week. Figured I should head over to this very official thread and introduce myself very official like. I go by Liz, Lizard, or Licks in most places. I'm a part time freelance artist and full time mom to two great kids! Our youngest just turned eight months this week. He's a handful, but lucky for him he's also cute, so I'll forgive him for keeping me up all night. My other family members currently include one 90 lbs lab mix, two old, lazy cats, and my love of my life.

I love all critters and I've kept a few exotics over the years, but I'm finally, finally dipping my feet into BPs. I've always loved snakes, lizards and pretty much anything most other people would consider creepy-crawly, but until now I haven't taken up snake keeping. My first herp was actually an iguana that I kept and loved for many years before we had to part ways. She's actually where I got my user name from; when Sobe would sit on my shoulder, I'd ask her for "kisses" and she'd tongue flick my nose! I miss my darling scaly baby dearly still.

Ball pythons have been on my radar for many years, but now I've been sufficiently bit by the beep bug that I'm ready to start owning a few. I haven't picked up any snakes yet. At first I intended to get one as a Christmas present to myself, but now I've decided to hold of until my birthday in August when the hatching season will be kicking on good and strong and I'll have more selection to be choosy with and a little more money saved up for a couple quality snakes. So, I'm still in research and planning stage right now, figuring out what morphs to start off with knowing what I'll want down the line. I do intend to breed some of my snakes and get some of those real "special" babies (as if they aren't all special?) but that's a ways off.

BP.net has already been a great resource for the last few of months of intensive information digging, so I figured it would be a good idea to join up and get to know all of you fellow herpers personally! Right now you'll probably see me lurking around and browsing topics related to the details of care and business, with occasional posts. As I learn more, need advice, or just want to share some moments with the noodle babies, I'll get more active. It's great to meet you, and I hope we get to be great friends!
