Cool Trucker with a yearning for for a large collection...

It's a good thing I have a fiance who shares my interest and is able to be home. I would like to get to the point where I can be home too, but right now I am trying to get two children through college and help support my disabled grandson.

I had a steer tire blow out recently and kept control of my truck, but injured my hands in the process. They are better, but still hurt and I'm told I have a chronic condition which will get worse over time. I am trying to get released to get back to work, but there are a lot of hoops to jump through with my company.

I have a ton of hobbies and interests but most of them either require too much equipment to take on the truck or are hard on my hands. I don't really let either stop me.

We currently have 5 ball pythons and a leopard gecko. I have pictures up on Pinterest. Hope that's okay to post the link? Eventually, I'll figure out how to do an automatic tagline. I have a good deal of experience with creatures of all types as I aspired to be a veterinarian while growing up. I've volunteered in the Everglades; taken care of snakes, iguanas, horses, cats, dogs and a variety of birds (my dad frequently brought home rescues when he had to clear nests off of transformers and I worked for a company called the Aviary in their bird hotel and quarantine area); and bred rabbits, cockatiels (hand raised), sheep, chickens and goats. Can you tell I had fairly indulgent parents and that I also owned a farm for awhile?

We are interested in breeding the ball pythons in the future. I could swear we've spent most of the time I've been home researching, but it's just a drop in the bucket compared to what's out there.

    Vonnie
