My boyfriend is in the bite club!

Well, after watching me get bit by a big ol' corn snake I was fostering, my boyfriend was intrigued by the whole aspect of being bit. (Not that he has some death wish or anything!) He has finally been bit, and has pulled 3 teeth from it. (Link to the bite picture below)

We were feeding the biggest snake I currently have (around 5 foot) I am fostering. He hadn't had a complete shed and was not his best of moods. Something I had been trying to emphasize! And my boyfriend has always had a bad habit of hesitation after tapping the snake or picking up with a different hand than he taps with (something we're gonna deal with). All this was a recipe for a disaster! At the time, I was getting ready to feed my bearded dragon who decided to take a bath in his fresh poo! So I went scrambling off into the bathroom and started the shower. My boyfriend walked in and informed me the big guy was done and that he was going to put him back. I should have said no and put him back myself, knowing he was in a bad mood! But, I didn't, and the next thing I hear is, "WHOA!" Running back into find a bloody finger and a very shaky boyfriend. After all this, he had to rush home to help his little brother get to a clinic for an emergency and decided to get it checked out by the doctor (against me telling him, "No no no.") and was handed a form asking for all my information, the history of aggression, and all that good stuff. He refused to fill out and still got it looked at. Over all, not a fun day!

The culprit was a snake left in a garage for 12 years and was relinquished to the rescue I work with. Normally a sweet 14 year old!
