    Trouble with Ambient Air Temps

I have a 40 gallon breeder aquarium with a mesh lid. On the right hand side, I have an 11x11 UTH. The glass temp is 95 and on top of substrate is 92. On the cool side, the ambient air temp is only 75. I have a 100 Watt CHE in the middle of the lid. The lid is covered with towels other than right where the CHE is. Any suggestions on raising the ambient air temp?
