Well at the Sacramento Reptile expo, I purchased a ball python, it was spur of the moment, it was a male about a foot or longer, named him Gossamer. I have him in a 20gal long, he's hiding in a coconut shell has been since I got him. I read that they need at least 2 weeks to acclimate, so i havent much been doing anything with him. I have an infared lamp above his tank and the area I've put him is very stable and gets very little light. I was wondering about what I should do for him to make him comfortable. I have pinkies frozen in the freezer, I'm wondering if I thaw them before I feed them to him. I was told to feed him once, or twice a week depending on how fast I want him to grow. I'm also wondering if, when he gets bigger, I should build up rather than out so that he can climb.
