So, we just got our first reptile--a Pastel Vanilla ball python. I thought this as good an occasion as any to stop lurking and introduce her:

This was from when we first got her home...she decided soon after to sit on top of the camera, so no more pictures then (sorry!). After her week of acclimation,we took her out to eat and found her in blues! She is still super sweet, even in shed, and super hungry, too, judging from how quickly she bolted her mouse. We're leaving her alone for now to digest, but as soon as that and the shedding is done, there will be so many more pictures.

She's just the sweetest little girl I've ever met--she's never even acted like she's thought about striking since we got her, she's a great eater, and she has the prettiest blue-gray eyes. We're kind of hovering like nervous mothers at this point, since this is our first reptile, but we couldn't have asked for a better girl.
