First lock of 2014
Hello all, happy to be back on BP.net after several months absence due to an out-of-state family illnesses, and the birth last week of my first grandson Michael. While I was out of state my daughter cared for my snakes, and did a wonderful job of it. Seems my grandson has been exposed to reptile keeping while still in the womb; future herpetologist maybe?
After my 2013 clutch of 8 from my 2007 Normal female & 2008 Cinnamon male, I have held back one of each male and female Cinnamon, and one male Normal out of that 2013 clutch. I also still have the above-mentioned parent snakes, and an unbred 2010 Normal male, and a 2012 Normal female. I have been putting the Cinny male back with the 2007 Normal female for a month now on and off, but haven't caught those two locking yet. Yesterday I decided my 2011 Spider female was old enough and big enough to begin breeding her, so I put the Cinny in with her yesterday, and noticed a definite lock today, (see photos). Very excited by this pairing, according to the wizard I should get 25% Normal, 25% Cinnamon, 25% Spider, and 25% Cinnabee. I also think the Cinny will produce a clutch with the 2007 Normal female again, so I might have two separate clutches this winter. Eventually when I get Cinnamons far enough apart genetically I want to do a Cinny X Cinny pairing to see if I can get some viable Super Cinny's. Now, with the Spider in that mix I may be able to build a nice little collection of morphs.....cool!!
Cheers
