Hello everyone,

I am getting a new pied ball python and I bought a couple of sizes for her to grow into until adulthood so I can buy another glass tank/t8 when she is ready for that size.

My question is how would you keep ambient temps up in a single plastic tub?

I have a uth, thermostat, and another accurite thermometer for her, and I am assuming that you cannot use a heat lamp on the tub lest you melt the entire thing.

My bedroom hovers around 80F, where I keep Kaa in a 40 gallon breeder and have yet to use the heat lamp as his tank stays around 80-82 with ambient temps. Would it be okay to keep her in the same room since it's warm? I live in a single bedroom apartment and I keep the AC on in my living room so the temperature stays around 76-78F in that room, but I worry about a RI with temperatures like that.

My other question is that the uth is a zoomed one and from what I've heard is they have a sticky side? I do have heat tape and heavy duty foil. Do I just tape the UTH to the buttom of the tub instead of using the adhesive on the actual uth so I can use it again?

Thanks a lot.
