I've read a number of threads on here regarding soaking and still cannot put my mind at ease.

My bp has been in his water dish going on three days.

I checked for mites, and found none. But totally cleaned his cage any way. And bought mite treatment just incase.

His belly is very pink, which makes me think he's going to shed, but what worries me is that he's never done this before?

I'd like to believe that he's just figured out he's able to fit in his dish to do this, whereas before his previous owner only had a tiny water dish for him.

Humidity is at 60%
Cool side at 80
Warm side 88

Checked the UTH temp and it's at 87

Could it be he just wants to kick it in his bowl? And is there any harm in soaking this long and should I take him out?

Any advice is appreciated.
