    New rescue

Just picked this guy up this afternoon. He was posted online for free because he hasn't eaten since before the winter. He was being kept in a dry basement so I'm guessing the cool temps and lack of humidity played a pretty big role in that. He's definitely underweight, weighing in at 445g, with a very well defined back bone. I'm not sure how old he is, this owner has had him for year and got him from someone else before that. He had a full body retained shed so the humidity must have been almost nonexistent, and on his neck there were two layers of old shed. Soaked him for a while and got almost all of the old shed off. He's super alert and curious so I'm pretty confident he'll bounce back with proper care. He came with a 4x2' PVC cage that's divided into three, so he's got 24x16" of space. I'll let him settle for a week before offering him a meal, apparently he used to eat f/t rats so we'll try that.

When I first got him home

With most of the shed off and looking much better
