Okay. I'll admit, that I've read threads about people being "afraid" of being bit by their snakes and thought they were ridiculous. I've never had a fear of snakes, I have a pretty decent collection. Problem is my female boa.

My male boa is moody. He either likes me or hates me, but he's not aggressive at all. If he doesn't want to be messed with, he strikes at me, and I've been tagged countless times by him. No big deal. My female was sweet as can be when I first got her! I could handle her with no issues at all. I went away over a year ago for basic training, and left my snakes with friends who took great care of them. But ever since I've been back, my female boa is an evil witch! I mean, she hisses LOUDLY if I even just walk by her tub. Cleaning her tub is like a chore because I need to use the snake hook, which I don't even use on my male that is twice her size! I'm afraid of when she gets bigger. I've heard boas go through stages, and they tend to calm down in the older years, but it's been over a year now and I can't even handle her. I don't have any help at home as far as caring for her because my spouse is afraid of my creatures :roll eyes: and my son is only 7 I won't let him near the moody ones. I hate the idea of getting rid of one of my critters just because they didn't turn out how I wanted, but what happens if she ends up being a huge 9' aggressive girl and I'm all alone?
