    Ball python tank. Tile question

Hey guys. Long time owner of amphibians and chameleons, about to venture into the world of snakes. I've totally fallen I love with ball pythons and am mesmerized by their beauty and have decided to get my first.

before I do any of that, obviously I want to setup a display tank. I have a spare tank laying around that is adequate for a baby ball python, however I have a question regarding it.

the glass was. Broken out of the bottom, so I replaced it using bathroom tile and silicone. Would this work? Specifically I'm concerned in regards to the heat pad. Would this get too hot? Or not hot enough?

if this won't work, it's fine. I have no problems purchasing an ideal setup for my ball python to be, but wanted to check, as ive had little success searching for this specific question.

    thanks so much.
