Posting up for a friend;

she has a ball python that weighs in around 300g. Whenever she feeds her, and she's on rat pups, she makes not odd squeaking noise while she eats. Is this normal? She doesn't do it unless she's swallowing prey, so I'm fairly sure that it's not an RI. It sounds like she's wheezing but, like I said, doesn't do it any other time.

She had me come over this week, for the second time, to hear it & the snake ended up eating a rat that's way too big for it because it chewed threw the cardboard box it was in and fell right into the tub and the snake went right after it. The snake got the rat down, but it left a huge bulge in her. Will this hurt her? I've never seen my friend flip out so much, so I want to give her some advice from my favorite experts.

thanks!
