Hey guys, I got my first BP 3 days ago from a friend of a friend who could no longer keep him. He's about a foot and half long. He has been in the care of someone else for a while who I think had neglected to really take care of him. When I got him, he was in the middle of a bad shed. There were small pieces of shed around the tank, and he still hasn't shed around his head and neck area. The tank was not at all humid enough for him, so I tried covering up the mesh on top with a towel and misting the cage down. I still couldn't get a good humidty, so I ran out to Petco and grabbed some aspen bedding and switched out his lights for a UTH. The humidity in the tank jumped up once I switched the bedding so now it is at an acceptable range for a bp in a shed, but I think the UTH i bought is too small for his tank so I switched back over to the light. He still hasn't shed (it's only been about 12 hours since the switch), but I feel like he's acting strange and I'm really worried. He seems really limp when being handled and he doesn't really go into either of his hides, he just lays in the middle of the cage. I tried feeding him last night because I was not sure of the last time he was fed but he wasn't really interested and I don't want to keep bothering him. I feel like maybe I handled him too much between showing him off to friends and cleaning his tank and didn't give him enough time to adjust after the move. Or maybe it's because he was dehydrated and not shedding right. Now that everything in his tank is where it should be I want to leave him alone but I'm worried he might need a vet.
