Last season my girls made me wait until JUNE to get my first ovy. Luckily, this season, I was surprised by an early ovulation from a proven female. I had to maul over this ovy all day because I was getting mixed "signs" from my female. She has been SLAMMING rats. On the 22nd in the early afternoon, I fed her a small rat. approximately 30 hours later, I opened her tub to check on her and she looked pretty swollen in the abdomen. I got excited because it looked like an ovy...but I thought maybe I had fed her a much larger small rat than I thought I did. I woke up this morning to check on her again, and I saw this:

This female never glowed for me. She never went off food for me. She was NEVER witnessed locked with my YB het hypo male (she's a 2000g het hypo female). I have no idea who the father of this clutch will be (I need to figure out who she was paired with last year). However, her eggs should be due around Easter...so I'll settle for Easter eggs or birthday eggs (my birthday is on Good Friday). I was watching another female closely because I thought she would be the first to ovulate. Miss Primrose, here, decided that she needed to be the center of attention for once.
