    herpstat humidity help!

I cannot figure out why my herpstat keeps firing my mister. The thing flooded my enclosure two days ago and I've had to keep it with the door open whilst home to dry out all the cypress that's all wet now.

It's currently set to maintain 60% humidity, in sensed mode, with what used to be a 10% swing that I upped to 20%. Am I just not understanding the swing? Does the swing mean it'll go 20% *ABOVE* the 60% before it stops? Because I was under the impression that 60% humidity setting with 20% swing would mean it only activates when the humidity drops to 40%.

Anyway, I dried out the enclosure and plugged the thing back in and it immediately started spraying, despite displaying 70% humidity in the enclosure and being set at 60%. Why would it do that?

    Very frustrating!
