Right time, right place, right budget...and the final True Sign that it was meant to be was that my hubby was OK with the purchase!
I thought I'd be waiting another couple of years, at least, before I could own a tortoise, but this beautiful little gem is mine. Well....my son's......we'll share!
She is an Indian star tortoise, most likely female...probably about six months old (I forgot to ask her precise age). Nathaniel promptly named her Sarra (pronounced just like "Sarah" but he was insistent that it be spelled that way.)
She's strong and healthy and not too shy or skittish. Just a tiny little love! Hard to guess her size in these pics, but she fits on the palm of my hand.
