At almost 200 grams he will easily take rat pups. I have one about the same size that was on mice when I got him and, like yours, would have nothing to do with rats. I feed F/T so I warmed up a pup in hot tap water for about 10 minutes, then hit it with a hair drier for another minute or so. With the room darkened I then placed it inside the hide with my BP. I left the tail sticking out so I could tell if my snake showed any interest. Came back about 10 minutes later and the tail was not in sight (a good sign). I left him alone for another 45 minutes. Lifted the lid and found a pleasantly plump ball python.
If he won't eat it right away leave it in the hide overnight. If it is still there in the morning dispose of it.
