Caesar decided to fast last December. He went for months without eating anything. In the last couple of months, I managed to get him to eat a total of five live pinks, but he would totally ignore anything larger I tried to offer him. Those pinks are so tiny, they're like candy for him, I guess...but he even ignored those sometimes. Before his fast...he was chowing down on 2 hoppers every week.

Tonight...he finally took a f/t hopper!!! I figured one is enough for now...hopefully it'll whet his appetite and he'll start chomping down on them like he used to. He's almost big enough for small mice!

I was really worried about this guy, because he's not a nice fat bp who looks like he could go a few months w/o eating, but a skinny little gopher who doesn't look like he should miss a meal. But they are amazing creatures, aren't they????
