    Philodryas Viridissimus

    A rear fanged snake from South America - the Viridissimus and closely related Olfersii are reputed to pack a punch, but I've been hit a few times and can't say that reputation is deserved. Hard to see in these pictures, but the males have a neat blue chin. A great display snake for an arboreal setup. These are pics of Kermit, one of our yearling males. Locale of this group is Suriname.

    The blue on the face can be seen in this poor pic.
