Okay, so I took a nap for 2 hours today (I'm on vacation), and when I woke up I immediately went to check on my new snake (name coming soon by the way). Well, the first thing I noticed was that the newpaper substrate was soaked! His waterbowl didn't look like it had been moved or knocked over, and there was still a little water in the dish, but there was mostly just water everywhere, and the humidity had moved up to 81%! (It was 66% before I took my nap).

So the first thing I wanted to do was give him dry newspaper, so I took him out and put him in a smaller rubbermaid and started taking stuff out of the enclosure. Low and behold, I FOUND POOP! I guess he gave himself a little bath and the poop was the result? LOL. I didn't think I'd have poop this soon. (No, I didn't take a picture of it.) So I kept him out and cleaned and disinfected his enclosure.

Do you think his water dish is not sturdy enough if there was water everywhere? It's a 6" terra cotta dish from Home Depot that goes under pots.

(Sorry for the long post.)
