Alright. Sit tight because this is going to be a long one.
About four weeks ago, my 5 year old ball python decided to go on her typical nightly attempt to escape her cage. She's just extremely active and its something that she does often. What she decided to do this time though, is levy herself off of her hide and push her head between the glass of the cage and the brick I was using to keep her from escaping. The good news is I saw it just as it happened so I was able to free her before it did any permanent damage or worse.
The bad news is it left this very bad bruise on the bottom of her jaw, and I figured she would be fine.
Due to the change in weather, she has turned up food, and she does this every year. This week she decided to eat, but unlike usual there was blood. alot of blood. I really think this came off of the rat, but I am extremely afraid that she has gotten hurt and that her jaw is now damaged from eating the rat. I love my bp very much, she has been my companion for a long time, and I can't afford to lose her.
I really hope that someone with better knowledge than me took the time to read this, because I am about to pull my hair out. I will post the pictures here of what it looks like so far.
