I'm on this religious forum and I posted a pic of our snakes and I get comments like...
"People keep snakes just for the shock factor".
Not so. Not in my house. I have pet snakes because I got tired of finding "captured wildlife for observation" hidden under my son's bed. I figured, if I get him a snake (and a leo and map turtles and community fish and parakeets and african rats and an amazon parrot), he would be safer because then he's not taking "who-knows-what-disease-it-carries" animals in the house.
