Finally got a blood. I've wanted one since I first saw the species in 2002 at a flea market in Ft Myers.

I picked up this girl at Repticon this past weekend. She's as tame as they come. Doesn't flinch when I walk by the habitat. Very calm when handled.

I plan on using newspaper, just got suckered into the coconut at the expo.

I've heard to wet down the cage just before shed when she goes blue. Other than that, humidity shouldn't be too much of a concern.

Also, she's been in her bowl approx 24 hours. I haven't noticed any mites on her. Anyone know how long is typical for these snakes to stay in their bowl?
