Hey all - not sure if this is right place for this thread or not; however, I wanted some input. I came across a local breeder recently that upon a conversation gave me a proposal of one of his female het pied breeders. I told him I was looking for a female het pied and he indicated that he might be able to part with one of his as he was "downsizing and could use the money". I have read the blog post from Colin Weaver (East Coast Reptile Breeder) that talks about there is a pretty big risk associated with buying adult balls from others with the risk of picking up someone else's problem. This breeder and I talked for a while and he seems like an ok guy; however, I dont really know him. He also gave me another interesting aspect to this sale, he would breed the female this year (since my pastel pied is a hatchling) to one of his pieds and we would split the clutch (I have first pick and he has second pick, etc). I wanted to solicit feedback from the community here to see what you all thought.

It is tempting; however, I feel like there is a lot here that could go wrong. He is also willing to work with me on payments and is asking for 800. He has bred this female for I think 2 years and is giving me my pick of the bunch, all of whom are around 2k and over. Too good to be true or worth taking a shot?
