    Too good to be true

Hello friends! I come here tonight to share with my fellow herpers some unbelievably amazing news!

I got to see Tom Crutchfield at my local Herp Society meeting(Central Valley Herp Society). I was pretty stoked to see the Godfather speak about his conservation efforts.

He is an awesome guy, super down to earth, and VERY generous.

Long story short, he donated an amazing prize for our raffle, a yearling Dominican Red Mountain Boa!

Well, the last time I won ANYTHING I was 8 years old and won a rain poncho. Here I sit at 27 years old, my 4 month old son passed away 5 months ago, our family has been stricken with financial problems because of complications from my wife missing work because of it, and generally speaking I have pretty poor luck. I have to fight for everything we have, and we try to make sure the kids have a very happy fulfilling life.

Well, rushed to get to the meeting in time, I stop at an ATM to pull out $20 just in case. I get to the meeting about 5 mins late, and I definitely feel like tonight isn't going to be the 2nd time I win anything. Well, guess what?

After asking how much I spent on raffle tickets, and me telling him $20 worth(4 tickets) Tom says to me, "I can guarantee you are the ONLY person that had ever got a Dominican Red Mountain Boa for $20!"

I won a $1000 snake for $20! So excited! Should be getting it next week after he returns to Florida. Gives me some time to setup an enclosure. I'll post pictures when I get the little bugger
