Sorry for the bad image but my camera battery died so I had to use the phone.
Here is my mystery.
Last year I breed a Normal and a Pastel and got the typical results.
This year I breed the same couple, Normal Pastel
So how out of eight eggs did I get what appears to be 2 Super Pastels, when the mother is a normal. The color is bad but the skin color is pinkish like the back of the bottom snake and their heads. Plus they both have strips down the majority of their back. All the other snakes also have clean white bellies, wither they are normal or pastel. Based on black heads versus low color head)
I moved this year so it has a slight chance that the female was with a different male but the choices are limited
Pastel
Lemon Blast
Pied
Cinnamon
Axanthic
But the female is most definatly a normal. I will grant her past babies, some had a Granite look. But normal are not supposed to carry any other genes unless they are Hets.
Or can we know use the same rules we use for ourselves. Just because husband and wife are dark headed doesn't mean the child cant be blond because the great grandmother who was blond
